15 YEARS OF THE ILLEGAL ISRAELI SEPARATION WALL
July 12, 2019Tuesday, July 9 marks the 15th anniversary of an International Court of Justice decision that declared the Israeli Separation Barrier illegal. The wall has cut off thousands of Palestinians from the rest of the West Bank and restricted their freedom of movement. Over 80% of the wall is built inside the West Bank rather than along its frontier. The wall isolates Palestinian towns and communities and may facilitate the annexation of 10% of the West Bank should it be completed. The failure of the international community to enforce the ICJ ruling gave birth to the BDS movement in 2005. You can read more here.
