Canadian doctor fighting COVID-19 at home and in Palestine
May 7, 2020Dr. Tarek Loubani, a Canadian doctor and associate professor at the University of Western Ontario, is helping fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada and in Palestine through the innovative use of 3D printers to produce desperately needed medical protective equipment. Dr. Loubani previously served as an emergency medic in Gaza and was shot in the leg during the 2018 Great March of Return while tending to Palestinian protestors injured by Israeli snipers. Dr. Loubani was also the keynote speaker at the 2018 James Graff Memorial Lecture hosted by CFOS.
