We recently sat down for a conversation with Daoud Nassar. Daoud is a Palestinian Christian farmer and the Director of the Tent of Nations: an educational and environmentally conscious family farm located outside of Bethlehem. It seeks to build bridges between people, and between people and the land.

The featured speaker of the 2019 James Graff Memorial Lecture was Palestinian-Canadian playwright, author, political analyst and activist Samah Sabawi. She has written and produced the critically acclaimed plays Cries from the Land, Three Wishes, and Tales of a City by the Sea. The title of her talk is “Decolonizing Activism: Resistance Through Art.”

This year’s speaker for the annual James Graff Memorial Lecture was Dr. Tarek Loubani. Dr. Loubani is a Canadian doctor who was in Gaza during the Great March of Return in 2018. The program is sponsored by the Canadian Friends of Sabeel (https://friendsofsabeel.ca/) , and hosted by Emmanuel College, at the University of Toronto.
