South African Church Declares Solidarity with Palestinians
September 27, 2019The South African Anglican Church has adopted a comprehensive motion declaring solidarity with the Palestinian people. The motion was passed unanimously and commits the church to support non-violent resistance to the occupation, including Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. This is one of the first motions of its kind in South Africa and further demonstrates the solidarity that exists between those who fought against apartheid in South Africa and those still experiencing it in Palestine.
