The featured speaker of the 2019 James Graff Memorial Lecture was Palestinian-Canadian playwright, author, political analyst and activist Samah Sabawi. She has written and produced the critically acclaimed plays Cries from the Land, Three Wishes, and Tales of a City by the Sea. The title of her talk is “Decolonizing Activism: Resistance Through Art.”
This year’s speaker for the annual James Graff Memorial Lecture was Dr. Tarek Loubani. Dr. Loubani is a Canadian doctor who was in Gaza during the Great March of Return in 2018. The program is sponsored by the Canadian Friends of Sabeel (https://friendsofsabeel.ca/) , and hosted by Emmanuel College, at the University of Toronto.
