About the James Graff Memorial Lectures
James Allen Graff (1931-2005) was a professor of philosophy at the University of Toronto for many years. He was also a passionate advocate for Palestinian rights, and he spoke and wrote widely to raise public awareness of the plight of Palestinians living under Israeli occupation. In 1984 he established the Near East Cultural and Education Foundation (Necef), which joined with CFOS in 2012. CFOS hosts an annual lectureship in honour of Professor Graff.
